You Deserve a Great Quilting Retreat!
At Quilting in New England (QNE), our goal is to provide a place for all quilting enthusiasts to join together to share their love of this art. We do this with our Social Networking and through our yearly Quilting Retreats. We began this journey in 2009 and it continues to be a fun adventure!
QNE does not host your standard quilting retreat. Our retreats are not just a place to go to quilt but are a place to experience the joy of quilting. Over the years, we’ve come to appreciate how enriching the interaction of like-minded people can be and a retreat brings together that valuable experience.
Sharing our Love of Quilting
Our retreats are all about sharing – sharing our talents, our knowledge, our enthusiasm, and especially our love of quilting.
- We spend a good deal of time researching, visiting, and planning our retreats.
- We hand-select each venue, after personal visits and many discussions with the host, so that we can provide you with your own creative space, comfortable accommodations, and good food, all at a reasonable cost.
- We also take a tour of the area to see what is available for sites, shopping, and things to do, as this all adds up to a fun, inspiring, and enjoyable retreat experience.
- We offer 3-day and 4-day options, depending on the venue.
- We partner with talented instructors that share our enthusiasm and desire to share their talents.
This year we have added a few more workshop retreats to our line-up and as time goes by, we will be adding more retreats and fun options. We hope you will join us!
Intro to Free Motion Quilting -Quilting Retreat
Have you always wanted to try free-motion quilting but have been reluctant to do this on your own? Have you taken the first steps in free-motion quilting but would like some instruction and help in the process? Then this is the workshop for you! A no stress weekend where you learn the basics of free-motion quilting on your domestic machine. June 5th to 8th, 2025
Spring in NH - Quilting Retreats
We offer 3-Day or 4-Day open-sew retreats where you can spend time working on the projects you choose; meet some new fellow quilters; relax at a friendly Inn; have some delicious food and have dedicated time to enjoy the art of quilting. June 8th to 11th, 2025
Skill Sharpening Workshop - Quilting Retreat
We will be offering mini-lectures/demos throughout the weekend. You will be able to sign up for your choice of a 30-minute program such as Needle & Thread Pairing, Know Your Batting, Color Theory Basics, What the heck is this Foot?, or Machine 101. We also have tips and tricks to help problem solve and make quilting more enjoyable. While this retreat is for all skill levels, if you are a beginner quilter, we will have some information to help you on your way. June 12th to 15th, 2025
It's A Mystery - Quilting Retreat
One of our most popular retreats is our Mystery weekend event. This retreat will be a fun-filled time of Mystery and Intrigue. We will feature a brown bag mystery quilt project for our retreaters. Each person will be able to choose a mystery bag (no peeking) which will have a pattern, fabric, batting, and backing for a table runner or table topper. Each will be unique! In addition to this, we will have fun mystery events all weekend including a few prizes for mystery solvers! September 5th to 7th, 2025

Fall in New Hampshire is a lovely, ever-changing color pallet that can spark creativity and inspiration. Smash Your Stash - Quilting Retreat
Are you in the STABLE group? (Stash Accumulation Beyond Life Expectancy) Congratulations! Achieving this status is no small feat and took some diligent shopping efforts. If you are like us, this condition can be exciting, inspiring, challenging, and sometimes overwhelming. Do you have charm packs, jelly rolls, layer cakes, or fat quarters you love but just don't know what to make with them? We have some ideas to help you work them into lovely finished items. We have planned some fun, quick projects that will help you "smash your fabric stash!" November 5th to 9th, 2025
Sew, Quilt, Needlework Retreat
This new retreat is for all those who enjoy the arts of sewing, quilting, and needlework. Are you a garment maker? Do you like to create bags & totes? Do you enjoy working on home décor projects? Do you prefer needle art such as cross stitch, embroidery, or applique? Do you have some crafting friends who would like to join you for a get-away retreat? We will even have some ideas & projects to share within these arts. Option of 3-Days or 4-Days - November 9th,10th,11th,12th, or 13th, 2025
